Is gaming the optimal strategy? The impact of gaming facilities on the income and employment of American Indians

This paper provides two-stage estimates of the economic impact of Indian gaming on tribal members. Gaming increases income among tribal members in all areas and increases employment, by reducing the number of out of the labor force, in rural areas. © 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
